Declaratory relief claim
A claim seeking a declaration of liability where future consequences cannot yet be finally quantified.
In brief
Declaratory relief may be appropriate where further loss is possible but its amount is not yet known.
A legal interest in the declaration is required. Items that can already be quantified should generally be claimed by a claim for payment.
